Sewer Lateral (pipe) Lining and Repair Subsidy
Sewer laterals that are in substandard condition (e.g., cracks, holes, root damage) may create blockages or poor drainage that can prevent wastewater from flowing from your home to the municipal sanitary sewer system. This can leave your home at risk for sewer back up and basement flooding.
What is a sewer lateral?
A sewer lateral is an underground pipe that carries wastewater away from your house and takes it to the municipal sanitary sewer system.
What financial support will Halton Region provide?
Halton will cover 50% of the costs to repair your sewer lateral (pipe), up to a maximum of $2,000.
