York Region’s Home Repair Program
offers grants of up to $7,500 per year, with a lifetime maximum of $15,000, to low and moderate income homeowners who need critical repairs and/or modifications to their homes to make them safer or more accessible.

STEP 2: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION
Complete the Home Repair Program Application Form in full and attach the required documents.
Your application will not be considered if it is incomplete.
STEP 1: DETERMINE YOUR ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for assistance, you must meet all of the following criteria.
You own a home in York Region that is your primary residence Based on your most recent Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) assessment or property tax bill, your home value is less than the value for the town/city you live in as listed below: Town/City Home Value Eligibility Thresholds

East Gwillimbury $574,985
The total annual income for you, all other homeowners registered on title and everyone else living in the home aged 18 or older is $79,697 or less. A Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency must be provided for each person
Your home needs modifications to accommodate a household member with a disability or your home needs a critical repair for safety reasons
